Please reach me at info@janjordan.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
It costs £450, which includes your treatment session and a review session (to be used within 3 months of your initial treatment session), where any adjustments are made, if needed.
My clients' Top-Ups are charged at £150 per session as long as it’s no later 2 years after your last session, otherwise the treatment will be charged at the full price.
A deposit of £50 is needed to secure any appointment, which is then deducted from the remaining balance of your treatment fee.
I don’t take cards, so unless you’re paying by cash on the day, please arrange a bank transfer, which must reach me before your treatment can go ahead. BACS details are at the bottom of the page (Prices correct are time of printing).
The consultation fee is £50 and is taken off your treatment fee, should you decide to go ahead.
During a consultation, I do the patch test and discuss your brow situation, possibly drawing on brows. This is a half hour appointment and must be secured with the consultation fee.
If for any reason I feel that you’re not a suitable candidate for treatment, I will refund your consultation fee.
The consultation is half an hour, the initial treatment session is 2 hours and the review session is between half an hour and an hour and a half, depending on whether or not anything needs doing.
If you have very oily skin, large pores, Rosacea, or dilated capillaries (a strong redness to areas of your skin, which is formed of small, possibly broken blood vessels).
There is a strong possibility that the hair strokes will not retain their definition once healed and the effect will be more of a powder brow look and in some cases the pigment will heal to a very cool tone.
If you require a very dark pigment implanting, then there is a small chance of the pigment healing very cool and in some cases, once faded, there can be a greyish hue to the brows.
This is rare, but the possibility is something to be aware of. Also, with very dark shades, or if you want the strokes to be very closely packed, there is a stronger chance of the strokes blurring and over time, this will lead to more of a “powder brow” effect.
The result usually lasts between 8-18 months, depending on skin type and depth of colour, but the result can last longer (see answer to next question for more information on this).
A Top-Up is advised at regular intervals to freshen up your brows.
You may always have a trace of the tattoo if you stop having treatments. With darker pigments it can take several years to lose the colour and in some cases the client may never completely lose the tattoo.
This is normally associated with a very dark shade being used, so something to be aware of before you decide to go ahead with treatment.
It is essential to have a patch test and this can be sent in the post if you feel you don’t require a consultation.
Treatment cannot take place for at least 2 hours after performing the test.
You must cancel at least 48 hours before your appointment date, or you will lose you’re £50 deposit.
I will reschedule your appointment and keep the deposit until you come in for the new appointment date, then it will be deducted from your remaining balance.
It takes about a week to heal and there should be little or no scabbing, if you stick to the aftercare regime.
There is still a chance that you may develop a scabbing, depending on the individual.
Yes, you can wash your hair. Splashing your brows isn’t a problem as long as you pat them dry with a clean dry flannel as soon as possible.
A handheld shower head is a good way of protecting your brows especially if you’re able to tip your head back whilst washing your hair.
You should have no redness or swelling when you leave me. All my photos are directly after the procedure, so you can go straight out feeling great!
Exercise is fine following treatment, however, no swimming, saunas, steam rooms etc, until your brows have healed.
You can go in the sun 10 days after Microblading, as long as you wear a strong, Zinc free sun block.
The UV rays will fade a tattoo very quickly if you don’t follow this advice! Microblading should be done no sooner than 2 weeks after sun exposure.
You must wait for 2 weeks after having Botox before you can be treated and must wait for at least 2 weeks after treatment before your next Botox session.
You should have your brows tinted either 1 week before treatment, or 2 weeks after treatment.
As long as the old tattooing is significantly faded down enough, yes you can. If in doubt, send me a photo and I should be able to tell from that.
You must be aware however, that I cannot completely conceal old tattooing, so you will be able to see the residual tone of the faded tattoo underneath my work.
I put on a good numbing cream before your treatment, so you shouldn’t feel much discomfort at all.
Microblading is a lovely, natural looking treatment and you should be able to leave my clinic without any redness or swelling. No need to hide away! You will look great immediately.
It doesn’t matter if you have no brow hair, very sparse hair, or quite a lot of hair, Microblading is good for all brow conditions.
You have to be at least 5 weeks prior to undergoing chemotherapy and at least 5 weeks post chemotherapy.
If you wish me to treat you within the stipulated 5 week period, then written consent from your oncologist will be required.
If you have a health condition and/or are taking medication, this must be discussed with me directly, before we can proceed, to make sure there are no contraindications.
In some circumstances, this can be done, as long as there is consent from a parent or guardian, plus written permission from your doctor and that my insurance company is happy for us to proceed.
As long as you’re healthy and depending on your skin texture, you can have this treatment at any age.
However, I strongly advise a face to face consultation if you’re over the age of 80, as there is the chance that I may have to refuse treatment on the day if I consider, for whatever reason, that it’s not in your best interests to have Microblading performed.
Please note: Anti-depressants can thin the blood, which may occasionally affect healed results.
Please reach me at info@janjordan.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The treatment costs £450, which includes your initial session and a review appointment (to be used within 3 months of your initial treatment), where any adjustments can be made if needed. Many clients find that a second session isn’t required.
Any visit after this 3-month period is considered a Top-Up, currently charged at £150 per session (as long as it’s within 2 years of your last session). After 2 years, the full treatment fee applies.
£50 deposit is required to secure any appointment and is deducted from the treatment total—assuming you’re a suitable candidate. I don’t accept card payments, so unless you’re paying by cash on the day, please arrange a bank transfer, which must reach me before your appointment. (See BACS details at the end of this sheet. Prices are correct at time of printing).
The consultation is around 30 minutes. The initial treatment takes about 2 hours, and the review session ranges from 30 minutes to 90 minutes, depending on whether any adjustments are needed.
Powder and Combination Brows are great alternatives for oily skin types, as this technique heals more evenly and with better colour retention.
If you have very oily skin, large pores, Rosacea, or dilated capillaries, Powder or Combination Brows are usually a more suitable option than Microblading.
When using darker pigments, there is a chance they may heal cooler over time, sometimes with a greyish hue as they fade.
This is normal and something we’ll consider when selecting your pigment shade. Powder and Combination techniques are more forgiving than Microblading in this respect.
Unfortunately, I don’t treat clients who are prone to keloid scarring, as it can increase the risk of complications.
Results typically last 1–3 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and colour choice. A Top-Up is recommended at regular intervals to maintain your brows.
Over time, pigment fades, but there may still be some residual colour visible—especially if a darker pigment was used. Full disappearance cannot be guaranteed.
Yes, a patch test is essential and must be done at least 2 hours before your treatment. I can post it to you if you don’t need a full consultation. Just let me know your preference.
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance, or you will lose your deposit. I’m happy to reschedule your appointment and apply your deposit to the new date.
Healing usually takes around 7 days. Most clients experience minimal or no scabbing if aftercare is followed correctly. However, everyone heals differently, so some light flaking or scabbing is still possible.
Yes, absolutely. Just try to keep your brows as dry as possible and pat them dry gently if they do get splashed. Using a hand-held shower head or tilting your head back can help protect them.
No, most clients leave the clinic with no redness or swelling. You’ll be able to go out and about feeling great straight after your appointment.
Light exercise is fine, but avoid swimming, saunas, and steam rooms until your brows are fully healed.
You can enjoy the sun after 10 days, but it’s essential to wear a high-factor, zinc-free sunblock on your brows to protect the pigment. Sun exposure fades cosmetic tattoos quickly, so long-term sun care is a must.
You’ll need to wait 6 weeks after having Botox before this treatment, and 6 weeks after this treatment before your next Botox session.
You can tint your brows 2 weeks before or 8 weeks after treatment. No facial treatments, peels, or brow plucking should be done near the brow area for at least 8 weeks post-procedure.
Possibly! If the old tattoo is faded enough, I may be able to work over it. Please send a photo if you’re unsure. Be aware that some of the old pigment may still be visible beneath the new work.
I use a topical numbing cream, so discomfort is usually minimal. Most clients describe the sensation as mild and totally manageable.
Powder and Combination Brows do look a little bolder for the first few days, but they’ll soften beautifully as they heal. Most clients are happy to go about their day as normal immediately after treatment.
Absolutely! Whether you have no brow hair, sparse areas, or fuller brows, Powder and Combination Brows can enhance and define your natural shape.
Yes. I carry a wide range of pigments to suit all skin tones and hair colours.
No, you’ll need to wait until after your pregnancy and breastfeeding period.
You must be at least 5 weeks before or after chemo treatment unless you provide written consent from your oncologist.
Please get in touch with me before booking, so I can ensure it’s safe and appropriate to proceed.
Please note: Anti-depressants can thin the blood, which may occasionally affect healed results.
Please reach me at info@janjordan.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
It costs £250 for Lash Enhancement (within the lash line top or bottom) and £300 for Top Eyeliner. These prices include your treatment session and a review session (to be used within 3 months of your initial treatment session), where any adjustments are made, if needed.
My clients' Top-Ups are charged at £150 per treatment area, per session, as long as it’s no later 2 years after your last session, otherwise the treatment will be charged at the full price. A deposit of £50 is needed to secure any appointment, which is then deducted from the remaining balance of your treatment fee.
I don’t take cards, so unless you’re paying by cash on the day, please arrange a bank transfer, which must reach me before your treatment can go ahead. BACS details are further down this page.
The consultation is half an hour and the initial treatment session is about an hour and a half. The review session between half an hour and an hour and a half, depending on whether or not anything needs doing?
The result can last between a year and 18 months, depending on skin type.
You mustn’t wear contact lenses during the procedure and for at least 4 days post procedure, so don’t forget to bring your glasses!
You may always have a very faint trace of the tattoo if you stop having treatments.
It is essential to have a patch test. If preferred, I can send you a little patch test kit in the post. Treatment cannot take place for at least 24 hours after performing the test.
You must cancel at least 48 hours before your appointment date, or you will lose you’re £50 deposit. I will reschedule your appointment and keep the deposit until you come in for the new appointment date, then it will be deducted from your remaining balance.
It takes about a week to heal and there can be a little scabbing, sloughing of the pigment and sometimes some pigment is lost. This is rectified at your review session. Occasionally a client will lose a lot of pigment however, which is down to the way an individual takes the pigment.
Yes, you can wash your hair. Try not to get your eyes wet, but if they get splashed, pat them dry with a clean tissue as soon as possible. A hand held shower head is a good way of protecting your eyes, especially if you’re able to tip your head back whilst washing your hair.
There can be some swelling and soreness/redness for 48 hours after the procedure. I suggest taking a “One a day” antihistamine for a few days prior to treatment and about 5 days post treatment. Some clients have no swelling and/or redness. This is all dependent upon the individual.
Exercise is fine following treatment, however, no swimming, saunas, steam rooms etc, until your eyes have healed.
You can go in the sun a week after treatment, but please continue to protect your eyes from intense sun exposure.
You must wait at least for 4 weeks after having Botox before you can be treated and must wait for at least 4 weeks after treatment before your next Botox session.
You should have your lashes tinted at least 2 weeks before treatment, or 8 weeks after treatment.
You have to stop eyelash growth serums and lash tints 2 weeks prior to your treatment and you also cannot have lash extensions on the day of your treatment appointment with me and cannot resume any of the above for at least 2/3 weeks post your procedure!
I don’t recommend eyeliner tattooing if you have very sensitive eyes and/or are unhappy about having your eyes worked on generally.
I put on a good numbing cream before your treatment, so you shouldn’t feel much discomfort at all (read further down for more info on this). It’s a strange sensation, as you will feel the vibration of the needle on your eyelid and I have to put some pressure on the skin around your eye. It’s a very quick procedure as long as you stay nicely still and trust me.
The colour will start off very crisp and black, but will soften a lot during healing.
Yes, although fairer toned clients may be a little more sensitive during the procedure and possibly feel some discomfort.
There used to be always the small, rare chance of pigment migrating under the skin.
No, you must wait until after the baby is born and breastfeeding has finished.
You have to be at least 5 weeks clear of chemo and in some situations, a letter of consent may be asked for.
If you have a health condition and/or are taking medication, this must be discussed with me directly, before we can proceed, to make sure there are no contraindications.
In some circumstances, this can be done as long as there is consent from a parent or guardian, plus written permission from your doctor and that my insurance company is happy for us to proceed.
As long as you’re healthy and depending on your skin texture, you can have this treatment at any age.
Please note: Anti-depressants can thin the blood, which may occasionally affect healed results.
For Eyeliner clients: You have to stop eyelash growth serums and lash tints 2 weeks prior to your treatment and you also cannot have lash extensions on the day of your treatment appointment with me and cannot resume any of the above for at least 2/3 weeks post your procedure!

Li-FT® is a natural, saline-based solution used to lighten or remove unwanted pigment from permanent makeup, specifically in the brow area.
It’s a gentle, non-laser technique that works by drawing pigment up and out of the skin through the body’s natural healing process.
Emergency Removal is for clients who’ve had their brows tattooed within the last 48 hours and are unhappy with the result.
It’s a time-sensitive process and offers the best chance to lift freshly implanted pigment before it settles. If this applies to you, please get in touch immediately.
Li-FT® is ideal for:
A patch test is required at least 2 weeks before your standard removal session. Multiple sessions may be needed depending on pigment depth and skin type.
Yes, for all non-emergency Li-FT® treatments, a patch test is mandatory and must be done at least 2 weeks before your appointment. This ensures the treatment is safe and suitable for your skin. Emergency removals are exempt due to the urgent nature of the treatment.
Yes, I’m fully qualified and insured to perform Li-FT® removal (including emergency procedures) on brows only.
It depends on the pigment density, colour, and how deeply it was implanted. Some clients see a noticeable improvement in just one session, but full removal may require several. Even if complete removal isn’t possible, the area can usually be lightened enough to allow for a new brow treatment.
At least 8–10 weeks is required between treatments to allow the skin to fully heal before re-treatment.
Most people heal within 7–14 days. A light scab forms and flakes away naturally — do not pick it. This process helps lift the pigment from your skin.
Most clients find the treatment very manageable. A numbing cream is applied beforehand to minimise discomfort.
Yes! Once the skin is fully healed and lightened sufficiently, we can plan your new brow treatment. Please wait at least 8–10 weeks after your final Li-FT® session.
Please note: Anti-depressants can thin the blood, which may occasionally affect healed results.
Please reach me at info@janjordan.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
This treatment is for the reduction or removal of permanent makeup pigment in the eyebrow area only. Whether you’re looking to fade old work, soften an overly bold look, or make space for a new brow design, laser tattoo removal using a Q-Switched YAG laser can be a safe and effective option.
I use a fully UK-certified Q-Switched YAG laser, which is designed for cosmetic tattoo pigment. The laser gently breaks down pigment particles in the skin, which are then removed naturally by your body over time.
Yes, I am fully qualified and insured to carry out laser tattoo removal treatments for cosmetic tattoos.
Treatment is from £85 per session, depending on how much fading is needed. Some clients just want to soften an overly strong look, while others are aiming for as much removal as possible. Complete removal isn’t always achievable, but significant lightening is often possible with a course of treatments.
Yes, a consultation and patch test are mandatory. During this appointment, we’ll assess your existing brow pigment, discuss your expectations, and perform a patch test to ensure your skin responds well to the laser.
The patch test must be carried out at least 2 weeks before your first treatment session. This is to ensure there’s enough time to monitor any delayed skin reactions and confirm that it’s safe to proceed.
It really depends on your pigment, skin type, and goals. Some clients are happy after just 1–3 sessions of softening. If you’re aiming for more removal, you may need additional treatments, spaced at least 8 weeks apart.
Not always. Full removal can be difficult, especially with older, saturated pigment. However, even if full clearance isn’t possible, the treatment can greatly reduce and soften the appearance, making a big difference to how your brows look.
The sensation is brief and often compared to a hot elastic band snap. It’s usually very manageable, and the session itself is quick.
Mild reactions like redness, swelling or “frosting” are normal. With proper aftercare, most clients heal well. Some scabbing or dryness is possible, which we’ll talk through during your consultation.
Yes, but not straight away. Your skin must heal fully. You’ll need to wait at least 8–10 weeks (sometimes longer) before having new permanent makeup in the same area.
That’s absolutely fine, but please let me know when and where your previous sessions took place, so I can assess your skin and tailor your treatment plan safely.
Relative Contraindications / Precautions (treatment may be delayed or require medical clearance).

Camouflage tattooing is a specialist treatment that uses skin-matched pigments to help blend scars, stretch marks, or areas of uneven pigmentation into the surrounding skin. The aim is not to remove the area, but to make it far less noticeable, helping you feel more confident in your skin.
Camouflage tattooing can improve the appearance of:
We carefully custom-blend pigments to match your natural skin tone as closely as possible. While an exact match can’t be guaranteed, the goal is to create a natural blend that makes the area far less visible.
Treatment times vary depending on the size and complexity of the area, but sessions usually last between 1–3 hours. Some clients may need more than one session to achieve the best result.
Most clients find it very manageable. The sensation is often described as light scratching. A numbing cream can be applied to help keep you comfortable throughout the treatment.
Many people need 2–3 sessions, spaced several weeks apart. This allows the skin to heal properly and helps build up the colour gradually for the most natural-looking result.
There’s minimal downtime. You may notice some redness or slight swelling for a day or two. The area may appear darker at first but will soften and settle as the skin heals.
Camouflage tattooing is long-lasting, but it isn’t always permanent. Over time, pigments can fade naturally due to skin regeneration, sun exposure, and lifestyle factors. Occasional Top-Ups may be needed to keep the colour looking its best.
Yes – when performed by a trained and experienced practitioner using high-quality pigments. A patch test and consultation are always carried out to ensure your skin is suitable and to reduce the risk of reactions.
Not everyone is suitable. The area being treated must be fully healed (usually at least 12 months old for scars), and certain skin conditions or medical factors may mean the treatment isn’t appropriate. This will always be discussed honestly during your consultation.
